Leipzig rule Olmo out for next three games, Orban to miss over two months

German Champions' League representatives RB Leipzig confirmed that Spanish attacker Dani Olmo would miss the club's next three fixtures on Tuesday.

There is unfortunately much worse news for the German Red Bulls as pertains to captain Willi Orban.
The much-discussed knee injury sustained by Spanish attacker Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig over the international break will keep the 25-year-old out of action for his German club's next three fixtures. The German Red Bulls confirmed on Tuesday that Olmo will be unavailable for the forthcoming league fixtures against FC Augsburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach. Olmo will also be unable to partake in the midweek 2023/24 Champions' League group stage opener against Young Boys Bern in one weeks' time.

Leipzig did not disclose the exact diagnosis Olmo received after returning to the club over the weekend. The Saxon-based club also didn't reveal many details regarding another injury incurred by one of their starters whilst on international duty when releasing a Tuesday statement. The prognosis is nevertheless grim for squad captain Willi Orban. The 30-year-old Hungarian international is carrying a serious injury that shall, according to RB, sideline him for at least ten weeks.
