Manchester United linked with move for Werner

Sky Germany reports that Manchester United are interested in Timo Werner.

Manchester United are believed to be interested in a move for out-of-favour RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

According to Sky Germany, contact has already been made between the Red Devils and the Werner camp.

Although Werner has played less than 400 minutes of competitive football so far this season, a stay in the winter seems most likely at this stage, with the striker expecting an increase in playing time.

If Emil Forsberg does indeed leave Leipzig for the New York Red Bulls in January, as bene reported, Werner's path to playing time will be shorter.

Werner played in England between 2020 and 2022, finding the net 23 times in 89 games for Chelsea.
