Report: Dortmund eye Brandt and Stark

Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt and Hertha BSC's Niklas Stark.
Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt and Hertha BSC's Niklas Stark have attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, Bild understands.

According to the German news outlet, the two players each have an exit clause of around €25 million.

Apparently, Stark, who has also been linked with Bayern, would only be willing to join Dortmund with the prospect of playing regularly.

Manuel Akanji, Abdou Diallo, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Ömer Toprak and Leonardo Balerdi are the current centre-back options at Signal Iduna Park.

Meanwhile, Brandt is seen as a possible replacement for the Chelsea-bound Christian Pulisic. The 22-year-old winger recently told Sport Bild that he feels well at Leverkusen, but he doesn't want to rule out anything at the same time.

"At the end of the season, you always have to think about everything again and take a look at where your club is, what you want and your contractual situation. I extended my contract in April, because I'm very satisfied. And that's still the case. But, of course, one thing doesn't exclude the other," he said.

Borussia Dortmund, who are said to be eager to add more German players to their squad this summer, have also been linked with Timo Werner, Maximilian Eggestein and Philipp Max among others.
