Revealed: Borussia Dortmund target three German players

Borussia Dortmund are reported to be interested in Timo Werner, Maximilian Eggestein and Philipp Max.
Borussia Dortmund have targeted RB Leipzig's Timo Werner, Werder Bremen's Maximilian Eggestein and FC Augsburg's Philipp Max, Sport Bild understands.

Apparently, Dortmund are adamant to add more German players to their squad. BVB captain Marco Reus is the only current German international playing for the club.

Timo Werner, whose contract runs until 2020, has flirted openly with a move to Bayern München, but Sport Bild claims that Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic is Bayern coach Niko Kovac's top striker target.

The 22-year-old has been told that he will be sold after the summer if he doesn't sign an extension with RB Leipzig, and Dortmund could thus snap him up in the summer although they could face some heavy competition from Liverpool.

Just like Werner, Maximilian Eggestein is under contract until 2020. Werder Bremen are eager to tie him down to a new deal, but the central midfielder has been hesitant to sign an extension so far.

The 22-year-old has had an excellent season, scoring six goals in 25 appearances, and is understood to be valued at around €20 million.

Dortmund would have to pay roughly the same fee for Augsburg left-back Philipp Max who has reportedly also caught the attention of the Bundesliga leaders. With his offensive qualities, the 25-year-old is considered a good fit for the club.

Rogerio, who is on loan at Sassuolo from Juventus, is considered a possible alternative to Max. The 21-year-old Brazilian left-back has made 22 Serie A appearances this season.
