Rummenigge: Pavard will not join Bayern this summer

Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said that Benjamin Pavard will not make the move to the Allianz Arena this summer.
VfB Stuttgart starlet Benjamin Pavard will not join the German champions this summer according to Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

When asked if Pavard will be brought in if Jerome Boateng leaves to join Paris Saint-Germain, Rummenigge responded:

"No. We have Hummels, we have Süle, and we have Martinez who can all play in the central defense. We also have Alaba and two young players, Lukas Mai and Chris Richards. That's a lot of quality," he told SPORT BILD.

Boateng has been heavily linked with a move to the French capital, and Rummenigge confirms that the centre-back could leave the club this summer.

"When a serious offer comes, we are ready to deal with it," he said.

Bild has previously reported that Bayern are hoping to sign Pavard in 2019. The French international is said to have a €35 million buy-out clause in his contract that will only be possible to trigger from next summer.
