Matej Kovár resumes European duties between the posts. Josip Stanišić and Piero Hincapié start in defence, while Granit Xhaka returns to midfield. Florian Wirtz has recovered from a slight knock to secure a starting berth.

Adam Hložek and Borja Iglesias return to the Werkself bench after overcoming injuries. Grimaldo will also start in a slightly more advanced role alongside Wirtz according to UEFA.

Rick Karsdorp, Chris Smalling, Leandro Paredes, Stefan El Sharaaway, and Romelu Lukaku return to the AS Roma lineup with a handful afforded rests in last Sunday's 2-2 draw with Napoli. There is no space for ex-Frankfurt centre-half Evan N'Dicka who drops to the bench.

Daniele De Rossi has absentees of his own to deal with. Turkish full-back Mehmet Zeki Çelik misses out through suspension after his red card against AC Milan in the quarter-final second-leg.
