Dan-Axel Zagadou suffers injury in training

Dan-Axel Zagadou has picked up a knee injury in training.
Borussia Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou has sustained an injury to the lateral collateral ligament in his left knee during training, the club have announced.

The 20-year-old will spend the coming weeks working with the club's rehab coaches in order to overcome his injury as soon as possible.

"Over the coming weeks, the France U21 international will work intensively with the club's rehab coaches in a bid to return to fitness and – provided that the corona pandemic allows for it – help his team in the remainder of the season," a statement on Borussia Dortmund's website reads.

The Dortmund players returned to training in small groups towards the end of March.

Zagadou has made 20 appearances for 'Die Schwarzgelben' this season.
