Naldo is Schalke's new vice-captain

Ralf Fährmann will stay as captain of Schalke 04 while Naldo has been made the new vice-captain.

Just as expected, Ralf Fährmann will continue in the role as captain of Schalke 04 while a new vice-captain has been named in then form of the experienced Naldo, the club have announced today.

Leon Goretzka was the vice-captain last season, but as he has left to join Bayern München, 35-year-old Naldo has taken over the responsibility.

"Naldo got up and explained that it was a great pleasure and honor for him. And then he said that we are all captains. That impressed me a lot," coach Domenico Tedesco told schalke04.de.

Furthermore, Schalke 04 have a team council that consists of Fährmann and Naldo as well as Guido Burgstaller, Benjamin Stambouli and Daniel Caligiuri.
