Ducksch allowed to leave Werder at the end of the season

After 4 eventful years, Werder Bremen and Marvin Ducksch will go their separate ways at the end of the 2024/25 season, according to a report from “Kicker”.
Ducksch has played 132 games for Bremen and scored 53 goals during that time. He was also one half of the “hässlichen Vögel” alongside former teammate Niclas Füllkrug, who joined Borussia Dortmund in 2023.
Even though Ducksch's contract has been extended automatically due to a clause until June 2026, Bremen want to sell the striker in the summer and are already looking for possible suiters.
Ducksch's market value according to Transfermarkt is €7.5 million, but Bremen might be willing to sell him for less - a sum around €4 million, similar to what Bremen paid to get Duksch in 2021, is more realistic.
The decision comes rather surprising, since Duksch is, once again, Bremen's top goal provider with 7 goals and 8 assists in 30 Bundesliga games.
Werder will play RB Leipzig on matchday 33 of the Bundesliga and it's their last home game of the season - and most likely also the last home game for Marvin Ducksch at Werder Bremen.
