Patrik Schick underlines desire to stay at RB Leipzig

Patrik Schick says he would like to stay at RB Leipzig.
Patrik Schick has underlined his desire to stay at RB Leipzig beyond the end of his loan spell.

As things stand now, the striker is due to return to AS Roma after the Champions League, which will resume next month.

But Schick is hoping that RB Leipzig can find an agreement with Roma to keep him at Red Bull Arena.

"I would prefer to stay here. We played a great season. I believe in the team, in the coach's philosophy. I like his football. I think we have the quality to compete for the league title. And we play in the Champions League. So it all fits," Schick told Bild.

"It's not like I don't know where I'm going to go after the Champions League. Basically, I still have a two-year contract in Rome. And if Leipzig and AS find a solution, I can stay here. But it's not in my hands," he said.

Schick has scored 10 goals in 26 games for RB Leipzig.
