As confirmed by 1.FC Heidenheim this afternoon, Marvin Pieringer has completed his move to SC Paderborn.

Pieringer joined Heidenheim from FC Schalke 04 in the summer of 2023, having been on loan at Paderborn during the 2022-23 season.

Since his move to Heidenheim, he has made 104 competitive appearances for the club, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists.

In the 2024/25 season, the striker became Heidenheim's top scorer in the Bundesliga with seven goals in 31 matches.

“Piere played a key role in our two successful Bundesliga survivals over the past three years," explained FCH chief Holger Sanwald.

"Naturally, we would have loved to keep him as a key player in the second division.

"However, the move to Paderborn offers him the opportunity to continue playing in the Bundesliga.

"For us, with only one year remaining on his contract, this will generate significant transfer revenue. That's the only reason we could agree to his request.

“We thank ‘Piere’ for his time with us and wish him all the best and much success in Paderborn,” he added.
