Eintracht Frankfurt will offload Elye Wahi in the upcoming transfer window, as reported by 'French news source L'Équipe.

Frankfurt has reached an agreement with OGC Nice, with BILD reporting that the Hessen club will receive a loan fee of €1.5 million for Wahi.

The 22-year-old is expected to arrive in the south of France tomorrow, Wednesday, to undergo a medical examination.

The out-of-favour striker will be loaned to the Côte d'Azur until the end of the season and Nice will also cover his entire salary.

Wahi moved from Olympique Marseille to the Bundesliga club for €26million almost a year ago, but has failed to justify the transfer fee.

After less than a year, he is now returning to his homeland, where he is expected to rediscover his former form.

Wahi had been previously linked with a move to Turkish Süper Lig giants Galatasaray, but it appears the Ligue 1 side have won the race.
