After back-to-back loan outs in the Netherlands, 20-year-old VfB Stuttgart striker Mohamed Sankoh is reportedly headed to the Serie B. Italian transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio reports that the Swabians have reached an agreement with Italian second division club Cosenza Calcio on a one-year loan-out with a purchase option.

Sankoh's once-promising career in Germany was de-railed by a horror injury suffered in the autumn of 2021. In his two successive loan outs, Sankoh has scored eight goals in 49 Erdevisie appearances for Heracles Almelo and Vitesse Arnhem in his native country.

Though Stuttgart themselves remain on the hunt for more attacking assistance, Sankoh along fellow youngsters Wahid Faghir and Thomas Kastanaras were never considered viable options. There are currently rumors that the 2023/24 Bundesliga runners-up are preparing to loan that duo out.

VfB Striker Luca Pfeiffer also appears poised for a loan, with reports suggesting that the 27-year-old is headed to Karlsruher SC. VfB trainer Sebastian Hoeneß currently has nine players who can work the lead striker role on his roster.
