BVB winger Pohlmann moves to Portugal

Borussia Dortmund winger Ole Pohlmann has departed German football for Portugal's Rio Ave F.C.

Recently linked with a move to SV Werder Bremen, 23-year-old BVB II talent Ole Pohlmann has opted for a move abroad. Dortmund were able to pocket a transfer fee for the winger, but terms were not divulged. Pohlmann scored 13 goals and pocketed ten assists for the Dortmund reserves in the 3. Liga last season. He made two appearances for Edin Terzic's senior team this year.

In terms of top performers in the German third division, only SSV Ulm striker Leonardo Scienza maintained a higher cumulative match-grade average in the Kicker Magazine listings. Scienza ended up completing his rumored move to top division side 1. FC Heidenheim in late May.

Scenzia (with an estimated market worth of €1 million) ended up costing the Albogeners €600,000. Pohlmann, with an estimated market worth of €1.5 million, may have netted the Westphalians more.
