Hull City to sign three Bundesliga players?

There are reports that EFL Championship side Hull City are presently targeting two underutilized Bundesliga strikers. Former HSV trainer Tim Walter apparently wishes to look to his native country in building his squad.

German footballing journalist Stephan van Nocks can also concretely confirm that interest from "the Tigers" is what is presently holding up Leverkusen midfielder Gustavo Puerta's move to Brøndby IF.

English online portal "Footballinsider247" currently claims that 1. FC Union Berlin striker Chris Bedia is scheduled for a Hull City medical later today ahead of a move to East Yorkshire. A move away from Köpenick for the 28-year-old would make sense for the Ivorian youth international as he was never able to establish himself for "die Eisernen" after signing with the club this past January.

Bedia made seven relief appearances for Nenad Bjelica's FCU during the second half of last season. He did manage toscore one Bundesliga goal in a round 32 encounter against Bochum, but never earned a start in the league. Bedia faces little playing prospects under the new coaching regime of Bo Svennson and was not selected for the match-day squad inthe opening round Pokal fixture.

No  German sources are currently confirming the English online journal's report. The same applies to a rumor cropping up on "teamtalk.com". This second British source reports that Hull are actually attempting to score a double Bundesliga deal. Eintracht Frankfurt's Faride Alidou - who actually enjoyed considerable success on loan at Köln last season - may also be in Hull's sights.

A move for Alidou would also make solid logical sense. The German youth international finds himself far down SGE trainer Dino Toppmöller's depth chart and will most likely not feature in the German commercial/financial capital this season. Both Bedia and Alidou maintain estimated market worths of €2.5 million in the latest transfermarkt updates.

While there isn't any direct corrobabtion on the Bedia/Alidou transfer rumors in the German press, the most reliable Leverkusen source in all of the German footballing media - Stephan van Nocks of Germany's Kicker Magazine - can confirm that interest from Hull is what is holding up Colombian midfielder Gustavo Puerta's move to Denmark's Brøndby IF.

Van Nocks writes that Puerta favors a move to the Isle and may be persuaded to work under former Kiel, Stuttgart, and Hamburger SV trainer Tim Walter. Hull's 48-year-old head-coach clearly has his eye on his home country as he attempts to build a squad in his first appointment abroad. Puerta's move to Brøndby was reported to feature a €3.5 million transfer fee.
