Kicker Report: Muani transfer officially collapses

Germany's preeminent footballing publication is now reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani's wish to move to PSG will not be fulfilled.
Despite the fact that PSG were offering upwards of €90 million, it looks to be the case that Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani will not be moving to his native country after all. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that the main reason concerns Eintracht's inability to procure a replacement. PSG's Hugo Ekitike - himself not keen on a move to Germany - would have cost too much, according to Kicker.

There doesn't appear to be enough time left in the window for a re-think. Ekitike remains in France and a medical cannot be scheduled. Muani must return from his official strike and continue to represent Frankfurt until at least January. SGE to personnel executive Markus Krösche does have experience bringing a striking player back into the fold.

Filip Kostic once attempted to force a move under Krösche's regime two autumn's ago. When a transfer could not be realized, Kostic continued to play for Eintracht for another full season; winning the 2021/22 Europa League crown with the club. Kostic eventually got his desired move the following summer.
