Hummels apologizes for red card, Terzic pays compliments to team
Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has posted an apology for his sending off in yesterday's defeat on his X (formerly twitter) social media account.
BVB trainer Edin Terzic also weighed in on the matter, though Dortmund's head-coach deliberately sought to strike an optimistic tone after the loss.

"My compliments to the team for maintaining morale," Hummels' statement read, "I'm the one to blame for the defeat. I should have never attempted that sliding tackle and leave the lads with one less man on the pitch for 80 minutes."
Dortmund starters Julian Brandt and Salih Özcan, like Hummels, both praised Dortmund's "fight-back" spirit in their post-match interviewers. The pair instead that the manner in which the team didn't give up until the very end spoke volumes about how much potential they possessed. Trainer Edin Terxic noted this as well, and answered direct questions about the social media post Hummels sent from the locker room.
"Mats knows that he can't do that," Terzic told the Sky Germany interview team, "Especially not at that early phase in the match. One can take such a risk later. I think we were the better team until the red card. To be honest, I think we were the better team in the second half as well."
"We've proven how good we are," Terzic continued, "We'll continue to prove it by improving step-by-step. Successful results will follow again soon."
