Terzic reveals details of talks with Sancho

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has revealed what he told Jadon Sancho prior to the 23-year-old's return to the club.
On Thursday, Borussia Dortmund announced the return of Jadon Sancho from Manchester United on loan for the rest of the season.

Sancho was a key player for Dortmund before his €85 million move to Manchester United in 2021.

Since then, things haven't gone according to plan for the 23-year-old, who is now hoping to get his career back on track in familiar surroundings.

Speaking to Sky Germany about the talks he had with Sancho prior to the signing, Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic says he expects the attacker to make an immediate impact.

"I built up a very close relationship with Jadon as an assistant coach and then as head coach. Since then, we've been in regular contact," Terzic said, according to Sky Germany, stressing that he asked Sancho three questions during the talks:

"'What do you want? What do you need? What can I expect?' And then I told him what I want, what I need and what he can expect from us.

"We're ready to give him the chance to show that he can do it again, that he's far from finished. But I don't have time, he doesn't have time, we don't have time. If he wants to come here and ask for time - it's not possible.

"If we talk about football: Welcome. If we talk about things off the pitch: No chance. If you're ready for that, then I'm ready for us to give you another chance here," Terzic said.

Sancho could be in the squad for Dortmund's trip to Darmstadt this weekend.
