There has been ongoing speculation about whether 35-year-old Peter Gulacsi will remain RB Leipzig's first-choice goalkeeper next season, with the 12 years younger Maarten Vandevoordt pushing for more playing time.

Some reports have even suggested that a move could be on the horizon for the Hungarian shot-stopper, but Gulacsi insists he’s not contemplating leaving Red Bull Arena, where he has spent the last 10 years.

“Who says I’m sitting on the bench? I feel extremely comfortable in Leipzig, and I have no unfulfilled desires about where I want to play,” Gulacsi told Sport Bild.

“I love the Bundesliga, and being the number one in Leipzig means a lot to me. I would be very happy if it continues like this.

“I’m 35 years old. It’s only natural for Leipzig to think about the future, just like Bayern or Leverkusen do. But what ultimately matters are the performances, and mine have been solid, so I’m relaxed.”
