Neuer on Tuchel departure: "Reflects poorly on all of us that we couldn't make it under a top coach."
FC Bayern München skipper Manuel Neuer offered up his comments on Thomas Tuchel's departure when speaking to the Sky microphones following last night's 2-1 win over RB Leipzig.

"It's not always the teacher's fault," Neuer told his interviewer in specific reference to Tuchel, "Just like at school, sometimes one earns poor marks on one's report card. We naturally have to take responsibility."
"The fact that we didn't make it working under a top coach reflects poorly on all of us," Neuer continued, "Everyone of us has to take a long and deep look at ourselves. This Bayern team differs from others."
"It [the winning mentality] used to happen a bit on its own," the 37-year-old went on, "The self-identification and confidence that came with putting on this jersey and beating up one team after another."
"That hasn't happened this season and has perhaps been on the decline for quite some time," Neuer concluded, "We have to work on getting that back."
