Arnold comments on VfL winless run: "This season is brutal."
VfL Wolfsburg captain Maximilian Arnold vented his frustrations - and let a few expletives flow - after a loss to Stuttgart extended his team's winless run to nine straight fixtures on Saturday evening.

"This season is brutal," Arnold told his Sky interviewer, "We just have to throw ourselves into everything, into every duel. Because now I don't give shit how we do it - the main thing is that we win. There's no point in all this talking, we just have to get on with it. Because if we just talk, nothing has ever turned out well."
Arnold's trainer Niko Kovac also essentially agreed that the result was unacceptable, citing "three mistakes that led to three goals". The VfL gaffer still tried to put something of a positive spin on events. The team did score two quality goals. Lukas Nmecha also netted his first tally in 15 long months off the bench.
"We are close [to a win]," Kovac insisted, "We just have to minimize the mistakes. There's been too many mistakes in recent weeks."
