Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg habit of drawing games continues to hamper their progress this season. Niko Kovac’s side gave up the lead on a couple of occasions to draw 2-2 in their recent away meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt. Maxence Lacroix and Kevin Behrens saw their efforts cancelled out by Philipp Max and Omar Marmoush respectively.

As a result, Wolfsburg have now seen six of their last seven league matches finish all square, while they have gone eight top-flight games without a win since beating Darmstadt in the middle of December. Having picked up 25 points from 23 matches, die Wölfe head into the weekend in 13th position and eight points above the bottom three.

Although they are not in immediate danger of being relegated, Wolfsburg will be desperate to claim maximum points on Saturday, especially as they have failed to win any of their last five home Bundesliga matches.
Team News

The hosts are without Rogério and Mattias Svanberg due to hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.

Stuttgart

Stuttgart missed the chance to claim a fifth consecutive league win in last Saturday’s home meeting with Köln. Enzo Millot gave Stuttgart the lead in the 53rd minute, before Eric Martel restored parity just after the hour mark to ensure the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.

Despite missing out on maximum points, Stuttgart can be proud of the fact they are unbeaten in five Bundesliga games since losing to Bochum on January 20. With 11 games left to play, die Schwaben are sitting in third place and seven points clear of RB Leipzig in fifth position.

Stuttgart will head on their travels for Saturday’s contest, and they will be looking to claim a third consecutive away league victory after beating Freiburg and Darmstadt in their last two Bundesliga away trips. The visitors also have the chance to complete a league double over Wolfsburg after clinching a 3-1 victory in the reverse fixture.
Team News

Roberto Massimo, Nikolas Nartey, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Samuele di Benedetto are ruled out through injury, while Genki Haraguchi is a doubt due to illness.
