Claudio Pizarro to retire after next season

Werder Bremen veteran Claudio Pizarro reveals he intends to hang up his boots after the 2019/20 season.

At the age of 40, Claudio Pizarro recently signed a one-year contract extension with Werder Bremen.

The veteran striker now reveals that he has already decided that he will put an end to his extraordinary career after the upcoming season.

"The next season will be my last. I want to end my career in good shape," Pizarro told Sport1.

Pizarro, who turns 41 years old in October, scored seven goals and made two assists in 30 appearances for Werder during the 2018/19 season.
