Hertha BSC have announced the signing of Eduard Löwen who makes the move from FC Nürnberg.

The German under-21 international has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the capital club.

"We have followed Eduard for a long time now. As a youth international, he fits into the category of player we look for: young, talented and not at the end of his development. We're delighted that he’s chosen to sign for Hertha BSC and are convinced that he will impact our game positively," said Hertha sporting director Michael Preetz, as quoted by the club.

Löwen, 22, said:

"Hertha BSC made it clear that they wanted to sign me and I had a good feeling from the start. I'm now happy to be at the club."

The central midfielder scored three goals and made three assists for Nürnberg during the 2018/19 season.
