Two Bayer Leverkusen players picked up injuries during Wednesday's training session.

As announced by the German champions on Thursday, French defender Nordi Mukiele and young Argentine forward Alejo Sarco both sustained muscle injuries.

Mukiele injured his left calf, while Sarco suffered a muscle strain in his left thigh. Both players are expected to be sidelined for approximately three weeks.

Bayer 04 will resume their Bundesliga campaign on Saturday against Augsburg.

The champions are currently eight points behind Bayern Munich at the top of the table following a disappointing 1-1 draw with St. Pauli last week.
