Best German players abroad of the 2019/20 season so far

Kicker has ranked the German players abroad based on their performances in the first half of the 2019/20 season.

Every six months, Kicker releases a ranking of the best players in the Bundesliga as well as the best German players abroad, dividing them into four categories: 'World Class', 'International Class', 'In the Wider Circle' and 'Field of Vision'.


Today, the German sports magazine has released the third part of the rankings based on the performances in the first half of the 2019/20 season.

Below, you'll find the rankings of the best German players abroad playing in the top tier in England, Spain, Italy or France.

World Class:
Marc-André ter Stegen, FC Barcelona

International Class:
Bernd Leno, Arsenal
Toni Kroos, Real Madrid
Ilkay Gündogan, Manchester City

In the Wider Circle:
Robin Gosens, Atalanta
Sami Khedira, Juventus


Field of vision:
Pascal Groß, Brighton & Hove Albion
