Davie Selke would have gone to England if Werder hadn't wanted to sign him
Davie Selke came close to a move to the England in January – and he remains attracted to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old was heavily linked with various Premier League clubs, but ultimately left Hertha for a move to Werder when he found out that returning to his former club was possible.
"It almost felt like I was already in England, because it was said that the move to Bremen would be financially impossible. I say quite clearly: had it been any other Bundesliga club, I would have opted for a move to England. I find the Premier League extremely appealing. But Werder are special for me," Selke told Sport Bild.
Werder Bremen have signed Selke on loan until the summer of 2021 with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.
