Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre says he will be careful not to rush Marco Reus back from injury.

The BVB captain has been sidelined since he picked up a muscle injury in the beginning of this month, and he isn't quite ready to make his return yet.

"He takes his time. It's important for us that he returns in top shape, so he doesn't pick up another injury after coming back," Favre told reporters ahead of Dortmund's clash with Freiburg on Saturday.

Reus recently said he's hoping to make his return within the next few weeks.

"Firstly, it's important that I'm completely healthy and feel no pain anymore. It's not the kind of muscle tear when you can say it'll take three weeks. But I'm confident that I can be back with the team in the next few weeks. Hopefully I can increase my workload in the next few days," he said on Tuesday, as cited by Bundesliga.com.
