Terzic to EPL links persist even after Frankfurt job ruled out

Soon after reports surfaced indicating that current BVB interim trainer Edin Terzic had turned down offers to coach Eintracht Frankfurt, Germany's Sport Bild published rumors linking the 38-year-old with a potential move to the Isle.
If reports from the Kölner Stadt-Anzeige and Germany's Bild-Zeitung are to be believed, Edin Terzic finds the idea of moving to direct competitor within the Bundesliga to be either too stressful or an illogical career move. That does not necessarily mean that the young trainer will end up as Marco Rose's assist coach next year at Signal-Iduna Park.

In point of fact, few in German footballing circles expect this. Even if Terzic would prefer to step away from the overly taxing, pressure-filled, emotionally-draining experience of running a team as the head-coach, his mere presence creates a problem for the incoming regime. Terzic's late success with the club places a direct alternate competitor under Rose.

Speculation remains rampant that all parties involved may find some way of avoiding the awkward, though not wholly impossible to deal with, arrangement. One option for Terzic would be a move back off the continent and onto the Isle, where he served as co-trainer under Slaven Bilic at West Ham United between 2015 and 2017.

Sport Bild reports that Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United have Terzic on their list. Spurs continue to seek the services of a permanently appointed manager, while Palace and the Magpies could offer Terzic a chance to further his career under more highly experienced EPL managers Roy Hodgson and Steve Bruce.

Terzic's speaks fluent English and completed his coaching certification in England.
