Bundesliga stars Davies and Reyna injured on international duty
Just prior to kickoff last night in a CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier against Canada, the USMNT announced that Dortmund spark-plug Giovanni Reyna would not be included in the lineup due to a hamstring issue.
In the match itself, "Bavarian Roadrunner" Alphonso Davies had to check out of the Canadian side after complaining of knee problems.

▪️Gio Reyna has been diagnosed with a right hamstring strain and has been ruled of the matches against Canada and Honduras.
▪️Weston McKennie has not been included in today’s squad following a violation of team policy.
This may actually end up expediting the youngster's return to his German club team. BVB trainer Marco Rose effectively all but ruled out using Reyna for the upcoming Bundesliga duel against Leverkusen on Saturday because of the tight travel turnaround. The new news may mean that Reyna is headed back to Germany earlier.
Dortmund face a stern test in terms of their round four Bundesliga opponents. The same could be said of defending champions FC Bayern München, who must square off against last year's second-place finishers Leipzig. In the case of Bayern, it looks to be the case that their preferred starting left-back is injured again.
Davies complained of knee problems in last nights 1-1 draw between Canada and the USA. The new issues appear unrelated to the persistent ankle problems that have most recently kept the 20-year-old off the pitch.
