Borussia Mönchengladbach's Tomáš Čvančara has terminated his loan contract with Antalyaspor.

Čvančara had only joined the Turkish Süper Lig outfit back in late July having struggled to rediscover his form after an injury.

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg notes the reason behind the Czechia striker's decision as ‘outstanding salary payments’.

The Rhineland club's sporting director Rouven Schröder also acknowledged the 25-year-old's return on Saturday evening:

“We can confirm that Tomáš' contract in Turkey has been terminated. We expect him for the start of training on 2 January at Borussia-Park.”

Čvančara is now considered one to watch for the January transfer window even though his contract runs until 2028.

It's unlikely he remains with Gladbach – the striker's spot comes at a premium with Haris Tabakovic and Tim Kleindienst also present.
