Schlotterbeck highly critical of "incredibly sloppy" performance

The BVB defender cut a frustrated figure in his post match interview with DAZN.

After their disappointing 2-2 draw with Bodø Glimt tonight, Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck voiced his frustration at full time.

“I said at half-time: we’re starting to play nervously after going 1-0 up, our passing is incredibly poor. A winner’s mentality means killing the game off.

"We didn’t manage to do that at all. We want to play beautifully. But that’s not enough. We could have gone up to 13 points today.

“Killing the game is a matter of quality. And then you concede the goal for 2-2 from a throw-in where you’re outnumbered and can’t clear the ball,” he added.

Schlotterbeck even took a dig at his teammates – no names were given but his time reference suggests he was frustrated at the impact of Guirassy and Adeyemi (both 67min subs).

"When you come on in the 60th minute, I expect 30 minutes of full throttle. After their second goal, we didn’t have any more chances to score.

“We played incredibly sloppy in the last quarter of an hour. That’s not good enough in a home game. Now you have to win both games, otherwise you won’t be in the top eight,” he added.
