Bochum created a decent chance right from kickoff, but they went down from the hosts' first real goalscoring opportunity. Vincent Vermeij couldn’t reach Ben Bobzien’s delivery, but Jason Ceka slid to net his third goal of the campaign.

Bobzien, who returned to the scoring chart in last week’s win over Nürnberg, was also instrumental for the goal that sealed the win just before the hour mark. This time, Vermeij made a timely run to receive the pass by the Mainz loanee before netting his eighth goal of the season.

Dresden momentarily climbed into 11th place after back-to-back wins. They are now only a point behind Uwe Rösler’s Bochum side, who have lost three of their last four games.
