Report: Bayern optimistic of signing Xavi Simons

Bayern Munich are reportedly optimistic about signing Xavi Simons this summer.

Xavi Simons had a strong season on loan at RB Leipzig last season and played himself into the sights of Bayern Munich.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, the Bavarians believe they have a good chance of luring the Dutchman from Paris Saint-Germain to the Allianz Arena.

Reports suggest that Simons doesn't want to play for Paris Saint-Germain next season, with another loan spell likely.

As they've expressed several times, Leipzig would like to extend Simons' loan, but apparently Bayern are optimistic about beating their Bundesliga rivals in the race for the attacking midfielder.

The 21-year-old scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 appearances for RB Leipzig last season. He's currently representing the Netherlands at Euro 2024.
