Mats Rots has officially joined TSG Hoffenheim from FC Twente.

TSG Hoffenheim have completed the signing of Mats Rots from Dutch side FC Twente.

The 20-year-old left-back has signed a long-term contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

“Mats Rots is a modern full-back. He brings clean passing, good dynamism and strong attacking quality,” said TSG Hoffenheim managing director for sport Andreas Schicker.

“At the same time, Mats has the physical attributes needed for defensive duels and gives us several options in build-up play with his versatility. He is also a young, exciting player with enormous development potential, who perfectly represents the TSG philosophy.”

Mats Rots commented:

“It was absolutely my wish to join TSG Hoffenheim and move to one of Europe’s top three leagues. Here I have the opportunity to fully develop my talent under the best conditions and take further steps in my development.

"TSG is known for developing young players and bringing them to an even higher level in a sustainable way. The perspective shown to me by those responsible convinced me to take this step to another country and a stronger league. I am especially excited that I will now even be able to play in Europe with TSG.”
