1.FC Kaiserslautern could break their own transfer record next summer and are pushing their financial limits for Erencan Yardımcı.
According to Sky Germany, the second-division club has reached an agreement with TSG Hoffenheim for the striker.
Yardımcı will initially cost a loan fee of €500,000, with the obligation to buy him next year estimated by the TV station at €5million.
Kaiserslautern have never before paid such a sum for a new signing; Lincoln has held the record since 2001 with €4 million.
There are no longer any doubts about the temporary move to the Palatinate region, and the medical check is scheduled.
Yardımcı had already spent the first half of the 2024/25 season and the entire 2025/26 season on loan at Sturm Graz and Braunschweig.
His market value, which was €3million in 2024 after his time in Austria, fell to €1.8million in Transfermarkt.com's update in June.
