Veteran Slovenian midfielder Kevin Kampl of RB Leipzig regrettably sees a strong start to the current German footballing campaign interrupted by an adductor injury. The 33-year-old made four starts for Marco Rose's German Red Bulls thus far this year. He notched his 13th ever Bundesliga goal in the shock upset of Bayer 04 Leverkusen in round two.

Kampl was unable to partake in last night's Champions' League fixture and there were fears of a structural injury. Rose confirmed at his Friday presser that an MRI had allayed the worst fears. The ever reliable six will nevertheless miss the next four Leipzig fixtures, returning no earlier than October 19th's league match against Mainz.

Rose announced on Friday that he would be engaging in heavy rotations ahead of Sunday's league encounter against St. Pauli, with only keeper Peter Gulacsi being exempt. Nicolas Seiwald, Amadou Haidara, and Arthur Vermeeren are also trained as natural sixes. Vermeeren and Haidara paired together last night.
