Eintracht Frankfurt will be without Tuta when they face Mainz in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The Brazilian defender missed last week's 2-1 defeat against RB Leipzig due to a calf problem that will keep him out of the Mainz game as well.

“Tuta is out, he's completing his rehab,” confirmed Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller at his pre-match press conference.

"We hope he'll return at the start of January.

"We won't take any risks and have enough players in that position who are raring to go."

With Tuta out, Arthur Theate is likely to partner Robin Koch in the centre of defence, with Nathaniel Brown then playing at left-back.
