Michy Batshuayi has officially left Eintracht Frankfurt. Saudi side Abha Club confirmed that the Belgian striker had joined on a free transfer after a season and a half in Germany. Batshuayi made 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.

Batshuayi joined Frankfurt in February 2025 from Turkish side Galatasaray for a fee of up to €3.5 million. The move was intended to reinforce the attack, with star forward Omar Marmoush heading to Manchester City, but Batshuayi was unable to make much of an impact.

The Belgian was sidelined with injuries for much of last season as Frankfurt struggled, sliding to eighth in the Bundesliga. He managed only one start in the league and did not play after December and, in January, Frankfurt signed another forward, Younes Ebnoutalib.

With Frankfurt looking to free up funds, Batshuayi, now 32, emerged as a sale candidate. Several Saudi clubs were reportedly interested, and newly promoted Abha Club won the race. The club signed ex-Leipzig and Dortmund talent Abdou Diallo earlier this summer.

Frankfurt was Batshuayi's second spell in the Bundesliga, having previously played on loan for Borussia Dortmund in 2018. He scored nine goals for BVB, emerging as one of the most promising strikers in Europe, before returning to England.
