Tagesspiegel reports that Carsten Schmidt has decided to resign as Hertha CEO.

Carsten Schmidt is set to step down as CEO of Hertha BSC for personal reasons, according to Tagesspiegel.
Per the German publication, Schmidt will leave the Bundesliga club after less than a year in office.
It's claimed that Schmidt wants to return to Munich, where he was managing director at broadcaster Sky between 2015 and 2019.
Schmidt's contract was due to expire in 2023.
