Borussia Mönchengladbach appear to be in serious danger of losing Matthias Ginter on a free transfer next summer, at which point the defender's contract expires.

Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl recently revealed that Ginter has been offered a new deal, and Sport Bild is now reporting that the 27-year-old is 'very unhappy' with the proposal.

Per the report, Ginter 'lacks personal appreciation', with Gladbach looking to cut down his salary in an attempt to lower their expenses due to the financial implications of the pandemic.

Additionally, it's claimed that he's not sure his own personal objectives coincide with those of the club.
