In an entertaining Bundesliga encounter at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, Borussia Dortmund drew 2-2 with Bayern Munich.

Reflecting on the game, Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac was particularly pleased with his team’s second-half performance.

“We achieved what we wanted: we wanted to be solid and defend well. In the first half, that was okay, but I wasn’t satisfied with the football,” he said.

“In the second half, we came out well and scored the 1-0. Then we saw a good game from both teams, with chances here and there. We are satisfied and hope to build on that in the upcoming games,” added the Dortmund coach.

Up next for Dortmund is the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against FC Barcelona, where they will look to recover from a heavy 4-0 defeat in the first leg.
