Kicker Report: Sandro Schwarz reaches agreement to coach Hertha BSC
It's been a well-known secret that Dynamo Moscow trainer Sandro Schwarz is headed to the capital city.
German footballing magazine Kicker now reports that Fredi Bobic & co. have reached an agreement with the 43-year-old and that Schwarz will be introduced next week.
According to Kicker, FC Dynamo Moscow coach Sandro Schwarz is returning to Germany as he's agreed in principal to become the next manager of Hertha BSC. The 43-year-old will coach the Russian Cup final on Sunday before dissolving his contract that runs until 2024. An official announcement should come out of the capital on his appointment next week.

Schwarz returns to the league where he played and managed for much of his career at his home in Mainz. He managed both Mainz's 1st and 2nd division sides from 2015-2019, achieving a best finish with the senior squad of 12th place. Since his move to Russia in 2020, Schwarz has stayed in the country since the start of the war and coached Moscow to 3rd in the league for their best finish in more than a decade.
The German coach is well-known for his aggressive style of play as the Hertha board believe Schwarz can best develop their young talent. It's reported that Sporting Director Fredi Bobic was fond of Schwarz during his time at Mainz and it's believed that this move would've taken place if Hertha had been relegated from the top flight.
Felix Magath's recent interview with Kicker displays disunity throughout the club. Magath felt he never received complete support during his tenure as previous trainer, Tayfun Korkut agrees. Time will tell whether Sandro Schwarz will be the answer to turn around Hertha Berlin's lackluster play.
