Mainz defender Donati turns down lucrative MLS offer
Mainz defender Giulio Donati has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from MLS side Portland Timbers.

Donati and Mainz are hoping to part company this month as the defender has been told he has no future at the club, but it seems the former Bayer Leverkusen player isn't interested in a move to the United States.
Instead, Donati would prefer joining a club in England, Spain or Italy, he told Bild during the winter break.
The 28-year-old has made just one appearance for Mainz this season. His contract runs out in the summer.
