Bayer Leverkusen had an enjoyable night in Frankfurt on Saturday as they rolled over Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1.

However, a late incident involving Victor Boniface and Emiliano Buendia was a sour note for Die Werkself.

The pair got into an altercation after getting in each other's way in an attempt to make it 5-1 towards the end of the game.

They exchanged angry words and Boniface raised his index finger at Buendia, even pushing the Argentinian midfielder after he responded by shaking his head.

Asked about the situation after the game, Bayer 04 coach Xabi Alonso didn't want to make too much of it.

"He (Boniface) wanted to score a goal. It's not a problem. We'll talk about it. The most important thing is the team, the performance and the result," said Xabi Alonso, adding that it's normal to show "passion" in football.

Boniface has been struggling for game time since his proposed winter transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr fell through at the last minute.

He hasn't started any of Leverkusen's last three games.
