An adductor injury looks to sideline new SV Werder Bremen acquisition Naby Keïta for at least six weeks. On Monday, the Hanseatic City State club confirmed that the 28-year-old will definitely miss the start of the coming Bundesliga campaign after straining a muscle cluster during warm-ups ahead of a weekend test fixture.

"This is extremely bitter for Naby and for us as a team," SV head-coach Ole Werner remarked in a statement released by the club, "He's a player who can set the rhythm with his quality and experience. We're doing everything we can to get Naby fit again as soon as possible, but we have to assume that Naby won't be available to us on the first match days."
