RB Leipzig will aim for a third consecutive win under interim coach Zsolt Löw when they host relegation-threatened Holstein Kiel at the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.

With the season drawing to a close, another win would strengthen Leipzig's push for Champions League qualification, with Löw's troops currently sitting fourth.

“Kiel are a team that never give up. They play with high intensity and form a compact block, from which they can counter effectively. But if we take another step forward tomorrow, we’ll be in a strong position ahead of our challenging remaining fixtures,” Löw said at his pre-match press conference.

Leipzig will be without one of their key players, as Xavi Simons, who netted a brace against Wolfsburg, is suspended. In his absence, Löw is confident that Christoph Baumgartner can step up to the plate.

“I have immense respect for Baumi’s character, and he’s also a very talented footballer. Now is his moment to fill Xavi’s shoes. He will most likely play tomorrow, and I’m absolutely certain he’ll have a great game. He’s fired up and ready,” Löw stressed.
