VfB Stuttgart have confirmed that Pascal Stenzel has extended his contract with the club, which was due to expire this summer.

The 27-year-old right-back's new deal runs until the summer of 2026.

"Pascal Stenzel is one of the most technically gifted players in our squad and is an important figure for us in the dressing room," said VfB Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.

"He has strong ties to Stuttgart and the region, and VfB is very personal to Pascal. We are delighted that Calle will continue to wear the VfB jersey in the future.

Stenzel, who will play for Stuttgart from 2019, commented:

"I feel very comfortable here, VfB is now my longest stint in professional football. I'm happy to be part of the club and I'm looking forward to the future. Even though the last game against Mönchengladbach was anything but what I had hoped for, we played a good first half of the season. We want to build on that in the coming weeks.
