Report: Julian Brandt has an exit clause in his contract with Leverkusen
Apparently, there's an exit clause in Julian Brandt's contract with Bayer Leverkusen.
When Julian Brandt signed a new contract until 2021 with Bayer Leverkusen last year, an exit clause was included in his deal, Kicker reports.
The clause is understood to be about €25-30 million - a price that would certainly be considered a bargain by Europe's top clubs.
However, speaking in an interview with Sportbuzzer, the German international recently said that he isn't planning to leave Leverkusen at the moment.
"This is a perfect place for young players. The pressure from outside is not as big as it as at other clubs here in the west. I feel comfortable here, so why should I change?," he said.
Brandt, 22, has made 32 appearances for Leverkusen this season with seven goals and 10 assists to his name.
