Kane on victory over Flamengo: "We played against a really good side"

Bayern Munich's striker reflected on their Club World Cup triumph over their Brazilian opponents.

In the aftermath of Bayern Munich's 4-2 win over Flamengo in the Club World Cup last-16, Harry Kane shared his thoughts on the game.

The English marksman expressed his happiness to DAZN cameras at reaching the quart-finals and how he bagged his second goal of the evening.

"It was a nice ball by Josh [Kimmich], I wasn't sure if he saw me but he played a nice little disguised pass.

"The first touch sets up the goal, I was able to go for both corners [of the goal] and I thought near post was the better option.

"It was a tough game. We played against a really good side, difficult conditions and thought we played well for large spell of the game.

“Every time we felt like we got away, they clawed it back and made it difficult. The fourth goal was important to ease the nerves,” he said.

The 31-year-old was fully aware of their upcoming quarter-final clash with PSG and keen to take on the Champions League winners.

"It's going to be another tough game. PSG had an amazing season, we played them earlier in the year and came out on top.

“We have to used that energy in this game, we know it'll be difficult but we feel we can beat anyone when we're at our level,” he explained.
